2017 Support Staff Training

This year's Support Staff Training will be held on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 at Tulsa Community College Metro Campus at 909 S. Boston Avenue, Tulsa, OK, 74119. It will be held in the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity, on the first floor. Parking is available in lots 1 and 6 and behind building #4. A campus map is available here.

The training will be The Application Process from NASFAA U materials. Following the training, attendees will be able to test for the NASFAA credential at no additional charge. To purchase by itself, the NASFAA materials and test are $200 - $300. However, OASFAA is extending this opportunity to Support Staff Training participants at a substantial value. OASFAA members can attend for $10 per person. Non-OASFAA members can attend for $25 per person. Payment can be made online at the time of registration, online after registration, onsite with cash, check, or credit card, or check payments can be mailed to Alicia Smith, OASFAA Treasurer, 821 Musgrave Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK, 73114. The 2017 annual OASFAA conference is almost here! Join us April 26th, 27th, and 28th at the Hyatt Regency in Tulsa for 3 days of learning, networking, and training where we will “Win Big With Financial Aid.” The tentative agenda is available here

Conference registration is available here. Conference registration payments can be made online with Visa, MasterCard, and Discover payments. Registration and credit card payments can be made at separate times. To pay the balance due after registration is complete, but prior to the conference, simply return to the conference registration page, click the “Already Registered?” hyperlink, and enter the email address used at the time of registration and the confirmation number that was sent in the confirmation email. Using this feature will allow the credit card user to pay on someone else’s behalf. Onsite cash, check, and credit card payments are also accepted; however, POs are not an acceptable form of payment.


Room reservations can be made online or by calling the Hyatt Regency at 888/591-1234. If making reservations by phone, use the code OASFAA to ensure the $89.00 per night room rate. The deadline for room reservations is April 2.

Parking is free to hotel guests, but those who commute will need to pay $5.50 per day.  Commuters who wish to pay parking fees at the time of registration can chose the parking option and include the appropriate number of days. If not paid online, parking fees can be paid on site.

Registration rates (a $25 late fee will be added for registrations after April 18):

Institutional  and Associate Members:  $150

Non-Members:  $250

Exhibitor fee:  $225

Wednesday only registration:  $50 for OASFAA members and $75 for non-members

Thursday only registration:  $100 for OASFAA members and $150 for non-members

Friday only registration:  $50 for OASFAA members and $75 for non-members


New this year is a pre-conference workshop! Wednesday morning, Andrew Hammontree will present on Gainful Employment, using NASFAA U materials, for only $35 per person.  Attendees will receive the study materials and the opportunity to take the NASFAA credential exam at no extra charge. Registration is found here, but attendance at the conference is not required to attend the GE workshop.
