President - Elect
Shala LaTorraca FAAC® - Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Born and bred in the heartlands of Kansas and Oklahoma, Shala LaTorraca has travelled the globe, and then returned to Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma, to earn her Master's Degree in Church Planting and Church Growth, coupled with an additional emphasis on Christian Leadership.

While at Southwestern, she began as a work study student in the financial aid office and worked her way up to the role of Director of Financial Aid.

Yet, life's twists and turns led her to a new calling – one of full-time ministry at a local church. In this role, Shala embraced the challenges and joys of service, ultimately advancing to the position of Associate Pastor.

While there, she met and married her husband, Chris, and moved cross country to Connecticut, where they started a family and opened their own business. But amidst COVID, as we can all attest, things changed and her journey led her back to her roots, to Oklahoma, specifically to Bartlesville, where she now serves as the Director of Financial Aid at Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU).

In addition, she has achieved the highest certified level in Financial Aid…the FAAC® designation.

Bianca Hopkins - Moore Norman Technology Center

Bianca Hopkins is a dedicated financial aid professional currently serving as a Financial Aid Specialist at Moore Norman Technology Center. With a strong background in career and technical education, she brings prior experience as a Bursar at Canadian Valley Technology Center and as an Administrative Specialist at Metro Technology Centers. Bianca holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

Bianca is actively involved in both state and regional financial aid associations, including OASFAA and SWASFAA, where she currently serves as Membership Chair. She is passionate about increasing member engagement, expanding professional development opportunities, and supporting collaboration across institutions. Her commitment to student success is evident through her hands-on approach to helping students navigate financial aid processes and access resources that reduce financial barriers.

Known for her leadership, organization, and innovative thinking, Bianca recently served as Conference Chair for the OASFAA Annual Conference, where she led planning and execution efforts for a large-scale professional event. She is dedicated to advancing the financial aid profession and empowering her colleagues through mentorship, service, and advocacy.

Secretary

Jessica DuBreuil - Southern Nazarene University

I’ve worked in financial aid since November 2020, helping students and families understand how to pay for college and navigate the financial side of their education. I regularly assist with FAFSA, payment plans, and account questions, and I focus on making sure students know what they’re responsible for and how to stay on track.

Before financial aid, I worked in management roles in retail and nonprofit settings, where I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills. Those experiences help me handle difficult conversations clearly and respectfully, especially when it comes to finances.

In addition to my professional work, I have served in ministry as a youth pastor and volunteer, which has shaped how I lead and serve others. I regularly stepped in to run church operations and preach when the head pastor was absent or on vacation, taking on leadership responsibilities and guiding the congregation. I bring that same approach into my work by leading with clarity, compassion, and an understanding that financial situations are often personal and stressful.

Overall, I enjoy helping students feel more confident about their financial situation and making the process a little easier to manage.

Crystal Armstrong, FAAC®- Carl Albert State College

I’ve worked in Financial Aid for the past 8 years at Carl Albert State College as an FA Counselor, Assistant Director, Interim Director, and now as the Director of Financial Aid. I’ve made Financial Aid my passion and career.

I have a Bachelor of General Studies degree (emphasis in Health Science, Natural Science, and Social & Behavior Sciences) from Northeastern State University, all 16 NASFAA professional credentials, and the NASFAA FAAC® designation.

I live in Poteau, Oklahoma with my husband, Randy, who is also the Director of Admissions at our college and we have a silly 3-and-a-half-year-old son named Arthur. We also have 3 dogs (Chip, Silo, & Tito) and 4 cats (Peaches, Garbage, Missy, & Totem). I love anime, crocheting, collecting random things, and planting/gardening!

Delegate At Large

Amber Truitt - Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Amber Truitt serves as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where she has built a reputation for turning complicated financial aid rules into something people can actually understand. Whether she’s working with students, parents, or staff, Amber brings a real, honest approach, cutting through the financial aid lingo, explaining the “why” behind the process, and making sure people leave with clarity instead of confusion. As a leader, she values transparency, consistency, and empowering her team with the knowledge and confidence to navigate an ever-changing regulatory environment. She believes financial aid doesn’t have to feel intimidating, and she’s not afraid to say it how it is to help people get there.

Outside of her professional role, Amber is a creative at heart and an old soul who thrives on thrifting, repurposing, and giving new life to pieces with a story, what she lovingly calls “dead people’s stuff.” She’s drawn to character over perfection and finds beauty in the imperfect, the worn, and the meaningful.

At the center of it all is her family. Amber is a proud wife and a mom to three boys who keep life loud, fast, and full of dirt track weekends. Between racing, sports, and everyday chaos, she’s learned to embrace a life that isn’t always polished, but is always real, full, and worth it.

Dana Stutzman - Northeast Tech

I bring over 20 years of experience in Career and Technical Education, with a comprehensive background in both Financial Aid and Business and Industry Services. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design from Northeastern State University. Throughout my career, I have been committed to supporting student success and fostering strong institutional partnerships.

Currently, I serve as the Local Arrangements Co-Chair for OASFAA, where I have valued the opportunity to contribute to the organization, collaborate with colleagues across the state, and support meaningful professional development initiatives. My involvement has strengthened my dedication to the financial aid profession and to the mission of OASFAA.

I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge, engaging with peers, and contributing to the ongoing success of the association through service as Delegate-at-Large.
